Jurisdiction: ACT Health Date: 1999 This policy has been developed with reference to other Australian State and Territory Health Department guidelines, as well as the National Health and Medical Research Councils (NHMRC) recommendations. These recommendations state that health care workers undertaking exposure prone procedures should be aware of their infectious status in regard to blood borne diseases.
